Okay were Ireland has two unusual elements for rental cars. First one is you need a credit card no other kind of card is acceptable.

No when it comes to Insurance in Ireland only you must purchase the insurance at the desk and you will be given the number of options or when it is offered to you online you can add the Extra Insurance in advance ( depending the State you are from ).

In both cases you have no worries. It is possible to use your own insurance related to your Credit Card but they do insist that you have something in writing from the card company stating that you are covered in Ireland.

So it's not really an issue you can either do it online in advance if it's offered or at the desk where are you will have a couple of options
